FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Help! I have not found a job yet, what can I do?

First of all, we suggest you turn to the EURES advisers in your country. They can help you in preparing your CV in English and give you useful tips and guide you through the offers on the EURES portal. You can find all the contact details for the EURES advisers here.

I was offered work at a public agency/a cooperative/an NGO/university. Can I still participate?

Yes, both public and private institutions are allowed.

Can I send you my CV so that you can find me a job?

No, we only accept applications already complete with a proven job offer.

Can I apply in the meantime and send you the job offer as soon as I get it?

No, only applications including a job offer will be accepted.

I'm still a student, can I apply?

You can participate if you have at least a high school diploma. Please note that you would be competing with the those who have a degree already and with your final high schoole grade.

How do I certify that I am unemployed?

You must contact the Employment Centre of the city where you live. They will issue a "Certificate of immediate availability to work." This is the document you need to attach to the application.

Do I need an original copy of the letter of intent from the company or is a scanned copy acceptable?

A scanned copy is fine, as long as it includes the stamp and signature of the manager.

But what does a company that produces stoves have to do with scholarships?

For several years, the MCZ Group has allocated the money it spent on corporate Christmas gifts to social responsibility initiatives, centred on the theme of the work. We started in 2009 by funding training courses for the unemployed or engaging social co-operatives for certain internal services. Since 2012, we have allocated a substantial budget to fund young unemployed people who want to add a work experience abroad to their CV. Experience abroad is a huge plus and incredibly valuable to today's job market. We like to think we can offer a little "contribution to peace of mind", as last year's winner called it, to face the first experience abroad with more confidence.

STILL HAVE SOME DOUBTS?

Write to jobcreation@mcz.it. And if you like, watch the video interview on YouTube with Lydia, one of the 2012 edition's winners (it's in Italian only). We collected some other stories of the winners of last editions here and here.

WANT TO PROMOTE THE INITIATIVE?

You can link this page directly to your website. Send an email to jobcreation@mcz.it, just to let us know.

If you also have a bulletin board, you can download this poster and hang it up (Italian, English, French, German). Thank you for your help!
