Our Christmas gift

Corporate Christmas gifts? No, scholarships for 11 brilliant graduated.

For several years, the MCZ Group has allocated the money it spent on corporate Christmas gifts to social responsibility initiatives, centred on the theme of the work.

We started in 2009 by funding training courses for the unemployed or engaging social co-operatives for certain internal services. Since 2012, we have allocated a substantial budget to fund young unemployed people who want to add a work experience abroad to their CV. We asked for the cooperation of EURES and the Province of Pordenone to create an official call, that was open to all unemployed European under 30. We tried to spread it as much as possible, using online media and national newpapers, Employment Centres, Youth Centres, Universities.

The success of this year has gone beyond any expectation. We received ben 114 applications. The most of them is coming from Italy (77 applications), whereas the remaining ones are coming from all around Europe (Croatia, Poland, Greece, Spain, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Germany, Romania, Bulgaria, Sweden, Lithuania, Cyprus, Switzerland, France, Portugal, Hungary).

It 'was honestly difficult to make a selection, because the profiles were all really good. A lot of young people wrote us. Researchers, designers, engineers, teachers, architects, but also ordinary students, willing to finance a master's degree abroad working as waiters or bartenders.

According to the Call, we made a selection by filtering the candidates with the highest degree mark and the shortest distance from graduation.

Here below you can find the list of the eleven lucky ones. Yes, eleven and not ten as we initially foresaw. A winner of last year edition finally gave up and we were able to assign her scholarship to another one.

Our most heartfelt "THANK YOU" goes not only to the eleven winners mentioned below, but also to the many guys who have written and called. It 'also thanks to their words that we are ready to present the Call again next year.
