Sunday ONE PLUS: the barbecue with a difference

The garden designer of Extreme Makeover chose the Sunday ONE barbecues

Luca Pirani, the garden designer chosen by Extreme Makeover Home Edition Italia, knows very well how a masonry barbecue could become an important piece of furniture in outdoor spaces, but also a meeting point where all the family and friends can gather during the warmer seasons.

Another reason to choose it is if the grill in question is a versatile cooking tool, which allows you to experiment with different techniques every time. The Sunday ONE line, selected by the experts of Extreme Makeover, includes four barbecue models, which can be used either with charcoal (or wood) or gas.

The transformation is simple. They are fitted with a 2-burner gas unit, in which the tray becomes a charcoal-holder or fat-draining tray, accordingly. In this way, the same product is ideal for the holiday pleasure cooking with wood or charcoal and for the convenience of gas cooking, which is quick and sometimes improvised at the last minute.

Sunday ONE Plus

The ONE PLUS model was installed for the episode aired on 09 June, a true gem representing versatility, which is compact in size and original and appealing in appearance.

The right side houses a wood-holder at the bottom and a compact but comfortable brazier so as to always have burning coals ready. The left side is 60 cm wide and is intended for cooking. You can cook with wood or charcoal, which should be placed in the specific tray. Alternatively, you can use the gas unit and use the tray as a fat-draining tray.

A lot of options are available to be purchased separately. The sturdy enamelled cast iron plate and lid for indirect cooking are ideal for multiplying the possibilities of use. The lid is particularly useful for an "oven effect", to cook dishes that require low temperatures, long cooking times and a damp environment.

To personalise your barbecue all the more, you can purchase wooden side shelves and cooking tops made of steel and a utensil holder.
